Police confirmed Sunday that a man who resembled jailed case broker suspect Gayus Halomoan Tambunan stayed at the Westin Hotel, Nusa Dua, Bali .
“He came here using another name. There were six people in his group,” Bali Police Chief Insp. Gen. Hadiatmoko said, as quoted by kompas.com.
However, the police had yet to determine when “Gayus” checked in and checked out, he said, adding that the Bali Police had only assisted the National Police in resolving an incident where “Gayus” allegedly bribed the Depok Police Mobil Brigade detention center warden to temporarily take leave from the jail.
Hadiatmoko said he could not confirm whether or not that the man was really Gayus, claiming that it was under the authority of the National Police.
Gayus was reportedly seen watching a tennis tournament in Bali on Friday when he was supposed to be in his cell at the Depok Police detention center.
