Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin on Thursday said that she will run for president in 2012 “if there is nobody else to do it,” Entertainment Tonight reported.

Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate, said that she has not decided on the issue but is considering for the event that there is no one willing to do it. However, she added that she will consult her family on the matter before reaching a decision.

The former governor added that a series of factors should considered too, such as whether there are people with the same conservative and pro-Constitution views as her and if there are suitable candidates already in the presidential race.

“If there’s nobody else to do it, then of course I would believe that we should do this. If it turns out there are candidates who can do the job, they would have my full support,” Palin said.

Currently, Palin collaborates with a national television network covering the mid-term elections. She also features in a television series that chronicles other facets of her life.
