Prices for opening ceremony tickets for the next Olympic Games to be staged in London have been released.

The most expensive will go for £2,012 while the least will be sold for £20.12. The organizers on the Games, which will be held in the English capital in 2012, released the figures.

Organizers say in all some 8.8 million tickets are going to be sold during the month long event. About three quarters of the tickets will be sold to the public from March next year with the remaining quarter being reserved for schoolchildren and other people that need to receive free tickets.

The prices are higher compared to the previous Olympic tickets. In Beijing, the upper cost for a ticket was $760, which is far less than that dollar equivalent of what is being charged in Britain.

It is not all the events at the Olympics however that will require that you pay before you watch. Events like triathlon, marathon and cross country cycling can all be watched free but you will be required to pay to the stadium, if you want to watch some adrenalin pumping action like the 100 meters and the high jumps.
