A law firm staffed with hundreds of Washington DC’s most powerful attorneys has filed a suit to close down a small hamburger joint nearby on the grounds that the smell coming from the restaurant from the cooking meat was offensive to them.

Washington DC Court Judge John Mott sided with the lawyers, and has this week ordered the restaurant, ‘Rogue States’ which is located on Connecticut Avenue near Dupont Circle to shut down their grill.

The lawyers claimed to have suffered headaches, watery eyes, and nausea from the scent which emanated from the eatery. A sign outside the hamburger joint states, “This restaurant is closed because of a powerful law firm that claims that the smell of our burgers is making it impossible for them to keep up the lawyering business.” This message is also stated on the restaurant’s website. According to the note from the fiesty burger chef, Raynold Mendizabal, this is not the end, and they do plan to fight the decision.
