A couple who filmed themselves sexually abusing their nine-year-old son and posted the images on the internet have been sentenced to jail.
The man received up to 12 years in jail, while his wife received five years and nine months jail.
The couple, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting and committing indecent acts with their son between January and November last year.
The boy's 57-year-old father also pleaded guilty to using the child for pornographic purposes, possessing child pornography and using the internet to offend.
The court heard that when interviewed by police, the man told officers he was a nudist and considered the acts part of his son's sex education.
But Judge Peter Garling told the court the man was a sexual deviant who committed the acts for his own gratification, and his son had suffered significant emotional harm.
In sentencing, the judge said this case was not in the worst category, but he said he hoped others in the community realised that such behaviour was not acceptable and would receive lengthy terms of imprisonment.
The man will be eligible for parole in eight years, while his 49-year-old wife will be eligible for parole in just under three years.
The couple are unable to have contact with their son who has been placed in state care until he turns 18.
