America seems to be in the battle against the bugs. It was the bedbug that struck first and now a new bug, the brown marmorated stinkbug is joining the war.

Latest government records have revealed that the bugs are causing more damage to fruits and vegetables in the Middle Atlantic States in the United States.

The bugs are not confined only to the farms. Homeowners are struggling to keep the bugs out of their houses.

It seems that the only intelligent way to kill the bugs is not to crush it. When the bug is crushed, it emits a pungent odor that is very irritating. Some people have described the odor that the bug emits is like a skunk.

It seems the bugs know no stopping when they enter a farm. Farmers in New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania and other equally affected states are in the battle of their lives to protect their produce against the bugs. Their broad appetite means the bugs consumes items from apples to soybeans.

Some farmers have seen more than 20 percent of their farm produce destroyed by the invading bugs. Experts believe that the bugs are moving to warmer places to avoid the incoming winter cold. The Agriculture Department in the United States is spending $800,000 to research the bug this year.
