Scientific theory has it that people are attracted to the opposite sex who have similar facial features. An American entrepreneur has now launched a website that helps people find their look-alike mate.
The online dating agency “FindYourFacemate.com” uses sophisticated facial recognition software to pair off people with a partner who is “facially compatible” to them, says the Daily Mail.
The website’s 54-year-old founder Christina Bloom said she started investigating the look-alike theory 20 years ago when she married a man who looked very similar to her.
The site now has 25,000 members worldwide and is free to join.
Bloom, a resident of New York, said: “I’m not in this for money. I really believe in the science behind it and I want to help people meet their soul mates. It’s really hard to meet people these days and even harder to find that special chemistry.”
