Glenn Beck’s planned campaign “Standing with Israel” has prompted calls from some quarters for the boycott of television network TBN. Beck plans to rally support for Israel in the United States.

Israel has been a strong ally of the United States but recent remarks by US president Barack Obama that the country should go back to the pre-1967 borders has affected the relationship between the two countries.

After announcing his planned campaign, prominent US Christian figures Pastor John Hagee and David Barton have all given their support for the rally. The pair made their announcement on the Christian television network TBN and that has infuriated the website Liveprayer.com.

The website has about 2.4 million subscribers and they are urging them and other Christians to boycott TBN.

The leader of the website is Bill Keller. During a chat with Christian Post, Keller argued that, “It is absolutely ridiculous for a supposed Christian TV Network, that purports to be propagating the gospel, like TBN, with major Christian figures like John Hagee and David Barton, to be supporting and advocating for a member of a satanic cult.”

TBN plans to carry the event on the network. The rally has both been criticized and praised.
