A Christmas surprise for a Green Bay woman turned out to be a shock, when she discovered drugs inside her vacuum cleaner box. The local media outlets reported that the woman was given the vacuum cleaner as a gift by her own children and when she opened it on Christmas morning, she found drugs worth $280,000 inside it. The law enforcement officials are investigating about the matter.

The law enforcement officials reported that there were two pounds of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine, which weighs about 2.2 pounds. The lady was shocked to see the drugs inside her vacuum cleaner and she immediately informed police about it. The investigators are of the opinion that the smugglers hid the drugs inside the vacuum cleaner before the cleaner was shipped from Juarez, Mexico and forgot to take it. Police said that they have interrogated the workers of the departmental store but they said that they could not understand that the vacuum cleaner was loaded with drugs when they sold it to the customer.

However, the store officials said that they would co-operate with the officials. Lieutenant David Poteat said that drug smuggling has increased in recent times and drugs are smuggled in a “variety of ways” from other countries to Wisconsin. The Lieutenant said that though methamphetamine is not smuggled so much but cocaine transfer has remained “strong” in the area. However, the law enforcement officials reported that the woman will nit face any charges against her as the police are convinced that she is innocent. The law enforcement officials have not disclosed the name of the woman and the store for safety issues.
