The Australian twin sisters who had conducted a suicide pact on themselves have been identified as 29-year-olds Candice Hermeler and Kristin Hermeler. While Kristinen Hermeler passed away as a result of this incident, her sister Candice Hermeler survived and has revealed to the police about the act, although refusing to reveal the actual reason behind the mysterious act.

The shooting incident took place at a shooting range near Denver, Colorado. Initial investigations have found out that the sisters had shot themselves each on the head using rented guns. After police arrived on the spot, one sister was already lying on her back in a pool of blood, while a range employee has seen performing CPR. The other twin, was sitting down with blood all over her hair and on the back of her head. A gun shot wound was clearly evident in the center of her forehead. Arapahoe County sheriff’s Captain Louie Perea said that since the Australian twins are so identical that it is almost impossible to identify as to who exactly among the two of them is the deceased. The twins are from Victoria, Australia and had come to the United States on cultural exchange visas. Their parents have been summoned to identify the twins.
Police have not found out any kind of suicide note from the searches conducted and told media that the twins have been staying at a hotel in Denver for the last five weeks. They had checked out of the hotel three days before this incident happened and has reportedly gone to the shooting range in a taxi. Supposedly, one of the sister’s was about to leave the country the following day. Even after several attempts of questioning by police, the surviving sister has refused to say anything.
