GARETH HEMINGWAY FACES 15 MONTHS JAILING FOR POSTING RACIST CLIPS ON YOUTUBE

Technology has provided ample benefit to the world and made day to day activities easy. However, in a similar manner the people take these advantages for granted and utilize them to attain their own selfish means, either to derive pleasure or commit a crime. The judge of Leeds Crown Court sentenced 15 months jail to UK man Gareth Hemingway for uploading video clips on YouTube which are said to be racist in nature. The man pleaded guilty earlier also for five offences which comes under Public Order Act.
It has been reported that the video uploaded by Gareth Hemingway were provoking violence against minorities in Dewsbury. The media outlets reported that the video clips could have started a “racial holy war”. The law enforcement officials told a reputed media source that the police arrested the 29 year old man from his home where they even found Nazi documents and some other racist documents. Gareth Hemingway was unavailable for any comments. The Crown Prosecution Service department told a reputed media source that they came to know about the racist videos when a journalist came across those while researching in one of his projects.
The Crown Prosecution Service said that the journalist reported about the videos to the police. CPS lawyer Stuart Laidlaw said that Gareth Hemingway chose a “public forum” to show and distribute racially inflammable videos to the audience. He also said that the alleged videos are “designed to provoke violence” against minority people and especially people living in Dewsbury. CPS department said that the videos included racist titles which were particularly for Dewsbury minorities. Stuart Laidlaw also said that publishing such abusive and insulting photos are against law.
