Hundreds of FUI (islamic ummah forum) members come to the office of the Major of Bekasi, friday (17/9).
They urged the Bekasi city government did not grant permission to the HKBP congregation to worship in an empty ground (in the fresh air, not in the building) in Ciketing, Bekasi.
The HKBP congregation have been conduct the sunday morning worship in an empty ground, in the fresh air for quiet a long time, and every sunday during the worship, hundreds of islamic radicals, are surrounded the congregation, protested with loud speaker and a lot of poster and pamflets.
The HKBP congregation conduct a sunday morning worship in an empty ground, in the fresh air, because the building they used to conduct worship, been closed and sealed by the Bekasi city government.
For a very long time, The Bekasi government also still don't approved the HKBP church proposal to build a permanent church for their congregation to worship in Ciketing, Bekasi.
In this action, the FUI (islamic ummah forum) protesters accepted by the Deputy Mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendi and the Bekasi City Police Chief, Kombes Imam Sugianto.
They urged the Bekasi city government immediately made a statement to forbid the HKBP congregation to conduct worship in Ciketing, Bekasi.
