In Afghanistan, the death of Osama bin Laden was a shock to both the government and people, who expressed relief as well as worries about the possibility of retaliatory violence and how this might affect the war in their country.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that bin Laden’s death should spur the U.S. to make more progress in Afghanistan.
