You never get many 92-year-olds who are romantic. When Helen Staudinger wanted somebody to romance, she chose 53-year-old Dwight Bettner. The only problem was that Helen was old enough to be the grandmother of Dwight at the age of 92 years.
When Dwight refused to kiss her, Helen reportedly got angry. Helen allegedly went to her house and got her gun. She then shot at Dwight’s carport four times and nearly hit him with one of the shot. It missed Dwight by just inches.
The police have subsequently arrested Helen and charged her with gun related violence. She was taken to custody in Ocala.
Dwight later told the police that Helen knew that he had a girlfriend. According to Dwight the older woman always believed that he belonged to her and when she got the chance to be with him alone, Helen demanded a kiss from him. He said he got upset and told Helen to “get the fuck out of his house”. He explained that Helen got angry after that and decided to attack him.
The incident happened on Monday night at the neighborhood where Helen and Dwight stay.
