US TV star Charlie Sheen has filed a $100 million (£62 million) lawsuit against the makers of his hit show Two and a Half Men, just days after they fired him.
The actor is suing Warner Brothers and executive producer Chuck Lorre for breach of contract, demanding wages be paid to him and the show's crew.

He was fired this week after an epic public battle with his employer, which has gripped the American media.

The 45-year-old was reportedly paid more than £1m per episode of a show which is among the most successful and lucrative on American television.

Last month Warner Brothers cancelled the remaining eight episodes of what was intended to be a 24-episode season, citing Sheen's public behaviour and rants against Lorre.

The company has long endured headlines about Sheen's wild private life including spells in rehab and acrimonious splits from wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller.

The star says he has the right to live as he pleases, including the acknowledged use of illegal drugs, as long as he showed up sober and ready to work.

In a series of interviews in recent weeks, Sheen has demonstrated erratic behaviour, glorifying himself as "a rock star from Mars, with fire breathing fists" and "Adonis DNA".

He also talked about his home life with two women he nicknamed his goddesses.

This ended with his two sons being taken away by law enforcement officers after Ms Mueller obtained a court order.

On top of his $100m claim, Sheen is also seeking punitive damages. He says he is entitled to be paid whether or not the shows are filmed.

There has been no comment from Warner Brothers or Lorre.
