California is really being beaten by the rains this Christmas. All records are being broken with this year’s rain.
The governor of the state, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been forced under the circumstance to declare a state of emergency in some of the worse hit counties in the state.
The Governor proclaimed that, “The circumstances of these storms, by reason of their magnitude, are or are likely to be beyond the control of the services, personnel, equipment and facilities of any single county, or city.”
About 2,000 people had to be evacuated this week after torrential rains and snow came down on several counties in the state. Meteorologists seems confused by the pattern of the rains and snow and promised that by tomorrow, it will be clear how the weather is going to be. However they assure that it cannot be worse than it currently is.
Since the rain descended last week, about a foot on rain has poured on the state. That has not been the only problem for California. The state has also had about 5.2 meters since last week.
However elsewhere in the United States, the weather remains relatively stable and normal.
