A woman brandishing a high heel shoe, and a partner allegedly attacked another woman in the Old East Dallas area, possibly disfiguring her face, before moving on to attack her friend, beating her unconscious.
The assault occurred at about 2:15 in the morning, at an apartment complex garage located in the 5200 block of Belmont Avenue, right off of Henderson Avenue. Vanessa Sarmientos, 26, and Jordan Pope, 21, were just coming in after being at a nightclub in Dallas. Another car came driving up, and the two assailants got out, the police report stated.
The victims immediately recognized the other two women from an assault earlier in the night, when one of them had punched Pope for talking to an employee at the club on Knox Street. Apparently she was jealous.
The driver yelled at Sarmientos and then hit her with a high heel show, the stiletto causing damage to the victim’s eye. She ran around her car to get a cell and call the police, and the passenger began to fight with Pope, eventually beating her unconscious, according to the cops. Both women were taken to Baylor University Hospital and Pope was released Monday, after having staples put in her head. Sarmientos may be permanently disfigured, but it is too soon to tell.
The police are looking for the other women, but since one of them was issued a citation in the earlier assault, they should not be hard to find.
