Several people were injured on Friday afternoon when two passenger trains collided at a train station in the Dutch city of Leiden, not far from The Hague, according to media reports.
Dutch news website NU.nl reported that the accident happened just after 3.30 p.m. local time at the Leiden train station when a passenger train struck the back of another train at a relatively low speed. Few other details were immediately available.
NU.nl and other Dutch media reported that eight people suffered minor injuries. Photos posted to the social networking website Twitter showed scores of ambulances and fire engines outside the station.
