64-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger has rejected his wife Maria Shriver’s request for spousal support or attorney fees, according to AP's report.
Maria,56, filed divorce on July 1, two months after their separation. Both seek joint custody of their 17-year-old son Patrick and 13-year-old son Christopher.
As there is no prenuptial agreement, Schwarzenegger and Maria, under California law, can claim a 50-50 split of all jointly owned property which is estimated to be worth about 400 million U.S. dollars. And Schwarzenegger would be expected to provide financial support for his children.
They reportedly are likely to reach a settlement out of court.
They were married for 25 years. After split with his soon-to-be ex-wife Maria, Schwarzenegger admitted that he fathered an out-of-wedlock child with his housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena.
