The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will celebrate Canada Day on the second leg of their first overseas tour as a Royal couple.
The newlyweds will attend a Canadian citizenship ceremony before watching a 21-gun salute and a fly past on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
Kate and William have already wowed crowds in the country's capital on the first day of their 12-day visit, doing a lengthy walkabout and accepting flowers and gifts offered by delighted fans.
Many had waited for hours to catch a glimpse of their future King and Queen.
Kate's star quality is burgeoning - even those who got to meet her husband were more interested in offering gifts to his wife.
One fan gave William a crown for Kate, made out of silver maple leaves. The Duchess was embraced by the crowds and looked thoroughly at ease in her new public role.
Kate arrived in the country in style, wearing a dress by Canadian designer Erdem Moralioglu.
But she begun the day boarding the Canadian Forces' Airbus plane at Heathrow wearing a navy blue knee-length Manon dress by French designer Roland Mouret with a navy blazer by Toronto-based Smythe les Vestes.
The couple laid wreaths at the tomb of the unknown solider in memory of those who have died in combat - including the 157 Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan.
After the pomp and ceremony of William's inspection of the guards came a more relaxed affair - Kate once again in her element at a barbeque with Canadian students.
In French and English, William gave a short speech marking the start of the tour.
"Catherine and I are so delighted to be here in Canada," he said.
"Instilled in us by our parents and grandparents, who love this country, we have been looking forward to this moment for a very long time - and before we were married, we both had a longing to come here together.
"The geography of Canada is unsurpassed and is famous for being matched only by the hospitality of its people.
"We are so very excited about having this opportunity to experience both - and learn much more about this amazing country."
The second-in-line to the throne tried a passage in French which translated as: "Today we begin our first tour together, we could not be better accompanied than by the great Canadian family."
He then joked with his audience saying: "It will improve as we go along."
Canada is safe territory for the Royals - and the country is eager to bask in the glow that surrounds the worlds most glamorous newlyweds.
Any opposition to the monarchy will most likely be eclipsed by warm-hearted crowds.
