Kirk Cameron has taken a swipe at scientist Stephen Hawking for declaring that there is no place called Heaven. In the interview, Hawking told the world that any idea of life after death is due to the fear of death. Kirk believes Hawking had no basis to make such claims. He has subsequently questioned the scientific proof of Hawking’s views.

The “Growing Pains” star who has turned into an evangelist was particularly not enthused with the notion that the world just came into existence. Kirk questioned that, “Why should anyone believe Mr. Hawking’s writings if he cannot provide evidence for his unscientific belief that out of nothing, everything came?”

In a recent interview with the British tabloid The Guardian, Hawking likened the human brain to the computer saying when all the components of the brain dies, life cease to exist. The view is part of a lecture that he is going to give in London. Hawking is expected to speak on the topic “Why Are We Here?”

In 2010, Professor Hawking released his book “The Grand Design.” In the book Hawking explained that life started as a result of quantum fluctuations in the universe. He concluded that the world didn’t have to have a creator to come into existence.
