A 13-year-old girl plunged four storeys to her death after being hounded by 'school bullies', friends claimed.
Teenager Chevonea Kendall-Bryan fell to her death on Tuesday night from the fifth floor of Seldon House in Battersea, south west London.
Police are investigating the mysterious circumstances surrounding the incident as friends posted facebook tributes saying that Chevonea was the victim of bullies.
Pal Niamh O'Mahony wrote on Twitter: 'Chevonea committed suicide yesterday as a result of bullying.'
One source said: 'We think there were some bullying issues but they were not taking place at the school. We don't know if it was suicide. That's a matter for the coroner.'
Chevonea was a pupil at Saint Cecilia's school in Wandsworth. Students have been give a special assembly to remember their classmate, and are receiving support.
Her mother, Amanda Kendall, 39, said they believed she fell out the window, where she often sat, to the ground. But she said that there had been 'rumours' about her daughter's death.
'I'm devastated. I miss her so much,' she told the Daily Mirror.
Reports have also emerged that Chevonea left a mystery post on her phone that said 'He wants me dead, he wants me to jump' before she plunged 60ft to her death.
Paramedics were called and rushed her to hospital shortly after she fell but she was later pronounced dead.
Police are now studying the texts and phones calls from her Blackberry mobile phone amid claims that bullies drover her to suicide.
Amongst the emotional tributes from friends was one from Ilona Pinnock who said: 'I wish it didn't have to end like this.
'I hope all those who bullied her and caused her to be in all this distress to do this to herself are proud of what you've done.'
ChevssBabyy wrote on Twitter: 'soooo sad, a girl in my school lost her life yesterday. Bullying is ridiculous and its wrong. RIP Chevonea. Life is short.'
Another friend said the Chevonea had been crying in the toilets the same day after being hounded by school bullies.
Ms Kendall's partner, Michael John, said: 'Chevonea was a great girl and a fantastic person. Everyone loved her so much. She had respect for everyone and so much more to give.
'She was full of life and we are all devastated. Amanda has lost her daughter and is finding it difficult.
'Chevonea was on the phone to someone and slipped and fell from the window. Saying anything else is just rumours. We've been told not to say anything at the moment.'
Locals continued to leave floral tributes to the youngster outside the five-storey block of flats.
One neighbour, who didn't want to be named, said: 'There are a lot of rumours, but I think only the family know what really happened.
'It's so sad, I only saw her yesterday, she seemed her normal self. She was always friendly and polite. It's such a tragedy for the family.
'She was never in any trouble, and quite a quiet girl.
'I think she fell and landed on a rubbish bin but I didn't see anything. Everyone is in shock that something so terrible could happen on our doorstep.'
