M. Irfan, a photojournalist from the daily Media Indonesia, says he has not received a police summons regarding the photographs he took of legislator Arifinto.

Irfan took no less than 60 photos of Arifinto, a member of the House of Representatives from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), while the latter was viewing pornography on his tablet computer during a House plenary session last week.

“I left the issue for my office [to handle]. But up to now, my office has not informed me about the case's development,” he told the Post on Tuesday.

The same day, National Police spokesperson Insp. Gen. Anton Bachrul Alam told reporters that the police had not decided whether the case would be pursued.

"We are studying the case. We have not decided anything for now," he said.

Anton said no one would be summoned before the investigation was complete.

Responding to the massive protests from the media and society, Arifinto announced his resignation from the House on Monday. The PKS was the initiator of the 2009 pornography law.
