An Indonesian toy salesman has admitted to raping at least 96 boys, police said.
The dirty deeds of the 34-year-old suspect, identified as Sartono, came to light after the family of one of his young victims reported the case to the police.
The 14-year-old boy, who went missing on Nov 21 last year, said Sartono had lured him to Jakarta from his village in Thousand Islands with the promise of a mobile phone, the Jakarta Globe reported.
Once in the capital, Sartono raped his young victim repeatedly and also forced him to perform sexual acts on other men for money, the newspaper added.
The police chief of Thousand Islands Hero Hendrianto Bachtiar said the salesman wrote to his victim's parents, claiming he and the boy were working together, so that they would not worry or report him missing, the Globe report said.
But the boy managed to run away and made his way back to his family on Dec 3.
