ANARCHISTS PLOTTING TO CAUSE CHAOS AT THE ROYAL WEDDING WITH SMOKE BOMBS AND ROADBLOCKS

Anarchists are plotting to cause chaos at the Royal Wedding with smoke bombs, roadblocks and diversions on the big day.

The shadowy Network X group are said to be planning to hide among the crowds pretending to be wellwishers - and hope to get the ceremony moved from Westminster Abbey to St Pauls as they wreck the procession.

The extremists are allegedly preparing for a month of protests before the chaos reaches a crescendo on April 29.

Chris Knight, a former university professor, who promised that bankers would be left 'hanging from the lamp-posts' during G20 protests that brought chaos to the capital, is one of the main men behind the 'plot'.

He claimed today in The Sun: 'If the police press their nuclear button I will press mine. We're prepared for trouble - we've got hard hats, big shields, battering rams.

'We're going to take over a TV station and a radio channel and try and take over power at key

The group are apparently planning to cause problems during a Trade Union Congress cuts demonstration in London on March 26.

As thousands of protesters flood into the capital they are allegedly plotting to storm government buildings and police stations in the capital and occupy them for five weeks.

On William and Kate's big day the group then apparently intend to cause so much disruption the ceremony is moved or cancelled.

Network X were inspired by the success of student fees protests before Christmas and the attack on Charles and Camilla's car as they were driven to the Royal Variety Performance.

An 18 foot wooden horse is apparently been made by students and will be burnt with effigies of the Royals inside.

Around 300 campaigners met in Manchester at a secret location a fortnight ago to formulate their plans.

Knight was a professor of anthropology at the University of East London but was sacked in 2009 for inciting violence against bankers.

He said prior to the G20 protests on April 1, 2009: 'We are going to be hanging a lot of people like Fred the Shred from lampposts on April Fool’s Day and I can only say let’s hope they are just effigies.

'To be honest, if he winds us up any more I’m afraid there will be real bankers hanging from lampposts and let’s hope that that doesn’t actually have to happen.'

Final plans for the policing operation on April 29 are being drawn up by the Metropolitan Police and intelligence gathering operations are believed to be well underway.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police this morning refused to discuss the Network X 'plot'.

'An appropriate policing plan will be put in place,' he said.
