A series of bomb attacks across Baghdad on Saturday killed 14 people, including six Iranians, and wounded some 100 people, 30 of them Iranians, an Interior Ministry source said.
The first car bombing targeting Iranian pilgrims hit a rest house at al-Moheet Street of north Baghdad, killing five people, including four Iranians, and wounding 18 others, 11 of them Iranians, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The second attack took place at al-Sadrain intersection in Baghdad's northern district of Shula when a car bomb struck a bus carrying Iranian Shiite pilgrims, killing two Iranians and wounding 28 people, including 19 Iranians, the source said.
Insurgents frequently attacked Iranian pilgrims who enter Iraq to visit the holy Shiite shrines and mosques in Iraqi cities.
The third car bombing ripped through a busy commercial area in Baghdad's southern district of Baiyaa around midday, killing up to six people and wounding 42 others, the source added. Earlier, the source said the toll of Baiyaa car bombing at two killed and 32 injured.
The blast destroyed many stalls and shops, along with damaging several surrounding buildings and vehicles, the source said.
Earlier in the day, the source said that separate roadside bomb attacks across the capital killed one civilian and wounded 15 people, including four policemen and three soldiers.
Violence and sporadic high-profile bomb attacks continue in Iraqi cities despite the country's lawmakers approved an agreement that aimed at bringing Iraq's feuding political blocs into a new government led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
