Dinners at a British school have taken an exotic turn with unusual dishes, including, frogs’ legs, ostrich, crocodile and camel, on its menu.
The lunch project at New Line Learning Academy, in Maidstone, Kent, is aimed at giving students an opportunity to try unusual meats they might not find in the shops.
“Obviously this kind of meat is very expensive, so it’s just a taster not a full meal,” Kent Online quoted catering manager Thierry Leroy, who serves up a different dish each week, as saying.
“We try to do something fun, to push the students’ curiosity and get them to try something new,” he added.
