A wild male koala walked into a bar on Queensland's Magnetic Island in eastern Australia, a witness told the Australian Associated Press (AAP) on Wednesday.
Kevin Martin, who works as a bartender at the Marlin Bar on Queensland's Magnetic Island, said he was stunned a wild male koala wandered inside on Saturday just after 8 p.m. (local time).
"He sauntered up to the bar ... I asked him for ID and he got all disgruntled ... walked around the bar and then climbed up a pole and sulked," said Martin.
"We have a big stuffed Marlin on the roof and he just sat under the Marlin in front of the speaker, listening to the music," he said.
"He fell asleep."
Martin said it was a rainy night and the koala might have been trying to get out of the wet.
The koala is back in the wild after rangers were called to set him free.
"The little feller's welcome back anytime," Martin said.
"Everyone was taking photos, they thought it was funny."
Magnetic Island has one of the largest koala populations in Australia.
