HANUKKAH MENORAH LIGHTINGS AROUND THE GLOBE

Greetings! Please Share & Subcribe.

A Jewish outreach organization is hosting a variety of public menorah lightings for Hanukkah in more than 70 countries around the world.
Events sponsored by the Chabad-Lubavitch organization include menorah lightings at several sporting events, including the Miami Heat-Detroit Pistons basketball game, Wednesday in Florida, and the Portland Trail Blazers-Los Angeles Clippers basketball game, Sunday in Oregon.
Menorahs made from whimsical materials are a hallmark of Chabad's holiday programs. Menorahs made from ice are scheduled to be lit Thursday in Helsinki; Sunday in Berlin, and Monday (Dec. 6) in Central Park in New York City. Chocolate menorahs are due to be lit Wednesday in Melbourne, Australia; Sunday in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; and Monday (Dec. 6) in Stockholm.
Menorahs made from Legos will be built in Brookline, Mass., Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Flemington, N.J.; and balloon menorahs will be on display in Maple, in Ontario, about 25 miles from Toronto, and in Bend, Ore.
For details on these and other events, visit http://www.chabad.org/HanukkahEvents. The eight-day holiday begins at sundown Wednesday.
